ça a commencé par une compagne de dance de StreetDance Bounce.nu à StockHolm, cette vidéo que beaucoup d'entre nous ont vu .. Mais ce genre de happening est comme une vague qui se propage à travers le monde, elle a touché tout les pays du monde en moins de 15 jours.
Stockholm (Suède), St petersburg (Russie), Hong Kong (Chine), Taipei (Taïwan),Tübingen (allemagne), Hollywood ( Etats-unis), Montréat (Canada).... et Paris :
Paris a superbement réussi aussi son show ... et si on hésite à appeler ça un Flashmob parce que bon c'est un peu préparé. Cette happening social a donc un autre nom, mais qu'importe puisque l'ivresse est là. Et qu'elle se partage à travers le monde entier :
Alors ça se prépare de loin ce genre de choses .. au moins 1 semaine avant .. et une répétition avec les professeurs, Samedi dont on peut voir quelques images ici . Ensuite ça continue évidemment par un event Facebook... Comme une promesse à tout ceux qui n'en peuvent plus d'entendre parler de la mort (noooooon) de Michael Jackson ... ;) un rendez vous dans une rue à deux pas de la rue Rivoli sous un soleil radieux... mais avec suffisamment d'espace pour accueillir tout ce monde. Et les répétitions ont commencés avec les profs qui sont pour la plupart des bons danseurs mais pas des professionnels et qui nous ont détaillés et montrés dans les détails tout les mouvements de la chorégraphie :
Une fois cette chorégraphie bien apprise on a répété en situation "réelle"... et déjà la magie opérait :
Avec à la fin une mise en scène qui aura finalement été abandonné.
Une magie supplémentaire à cet événement est la présence de la néerlandaise Irène van Zeeland (en rose) une chorégraphe de danse contemporaine et quidonne des cours pendant l'été au centre du Marais ( son style habituel est Cunnighammien - RIP ) et aussi Pierre Gayraud que vous reconnaitrez peut être sur ces vidéos à Notre-Dame le lendemain de l'annonce du décès de Michaël Jackson, il animait un petit groupe autour de lui et là ce n'était que son talent de chanteur qui était observé. Il a su faire de ses talents de danseurs comme déclencheurs des chorégraphies.
Je trouve magique que ces deux jeunes gens soient réunis pour cette occasion. Deux univers qui semble à priori improbable, certains de ses élèves me confiait combien il était difficile de s'adapter à ce style de danse et que du contemporain au modern-Jazz disons.. il y a un feeling qui n'était pas évident. je trouve que grâce à cette belle équipe c'est un vrai miracle de facilité et de convivialité qu'ils ont réussi à créer. Et une très belle manière de se joindre à l'élan planétaire. comme pour ajouter une autre perle à des danses très diverses d'une compagnie de StreetDanse à des danseurs contemporains, le tout avec une très grande majorité d'amateur.. Bravo ! Bravo la bande à bordel !!

Below you can read about how we did it practically. But the background was that Fredrik Rydman one of the dancers in Bounce www.bounce.nu got the idea to do this a sturady evening. We sent out textmessages to all the dancers we knew and ask them to sign up on our myspacesite. The goal was 100 dancers.
After that it was a lot of organizing for 2 days. rehearsels in different groups, permission, people to film it, sound and loudspeakers. And when press got the information it was just crazy!
Bounce is a well known dancecompany in Swden so it wasnt hard to find dancers to join this. 300 people came and learned the moves.

THIS IS the letter we sent to everyone who asked for help. More than 20 cities around the world has answered after watching our video on youtube.
Hi guys!
Makes me really happy that you feel like organising the same thing we did.
It wasn´t to hard actually.
First of all we used facebook, myspace and our phones to spread the info that this was going to happen. We told everyone to sign up at our myspace, cause then everyone could see how many we were, and hopefully they´d feel like: so many already!
We were able to use a big dance school with 8 studios, and before rehearsals 8 "teachers" agreed on the details in the choreo. 300 people did sign up before we met, but I think we were at least 350.
We started with talking about what we were about to do, and had made maps of the places we were to perform in. Told the people in wich direction to dance and such.
In the clip we repeat the same choreography 3 times and added on more dancers each time.
We called the 3 groups "half-circles", and circle 2 was devided in 2 sections and the 3rd in 4 sections. Now they knew where to stand in relation to the 1st group (circle 1). We divided the people into groups and the followed their techer to their studio
At the spot every group had to stick kind of close to their "teacher" since they knew exactly where to stand.
This did fail a little bit in the central station since the word had spread that we were doing this, and a lot of people came just to watch.
We rehearsed 3 times everybody together in a park before we decided the time to perform at the first spot. Then everyone had to find their own way there.
There was no time for a rendez-vous between the 2 first spots.
We were granted permission to perform at the central station, and the time frame was between 6.00 and 6.05, so that time was very set.
Other practical things: We hade the loudspeakers on a small pickup-truck and could drive around in the city. And to learn the choreography we whatched Michael Jacksons video. Some of you asked about money and how to finance it. Everyone involved did this for free, no one got payed. We had help from local sponsors.

Anyway it would be such a cool thing if you would do this, cause then we might see it all over the world, and I think we show that Michaels message, to unite, got through. I also think we could show the world that if you do something together it creates a powerful impact. On top of it, the dancing community in Stockholm had the greatest party ever, wich is not too bad
